Presented here is an original 1st hardcover edition printed in 1915, in the publishers original cloth binding.


This particular copy was previously owned and signed by famous american sculptor and women's suffrage activist Alice Morgan Wright on the front end-paper. Wright's most famous sculpture, "Medea," was said to be influenced by her struggle in the fight for women's voting rights, and this particular book by Alice Duer Miller played a key role in the development of her views. 


Very good condition. The interior pages are clean and bright with some minor toning as shown. There is light rubbing/bumping to the corners and edges, and some shelf wear to the boards, spine and extremities as shown in our photos.
